Hello world!

To any of you who are still checking to see if I am alive here, I’ve just finished redesigning the site offline and am ready to get the design back up here. The next step is slowly putting in, by hand, all of the posts of the past 9 years. I’d do it by accessing the SQL database, but since I’m not sure where the hacker did the damage, it’s safer if I do it by hand. It will take a while, but at least the site is getting close to moving again. Thanks for being patient!

Miguel, you are back! Sorry to hear about the hacking and all the work to restore everything to a new blog. Good luck! Hope you are well….

So nice to see you guys! I was worried that I’d lost all of you. Since I’m not sure if I’ll be able to reinstall the past comments, or even all the subscribers, I thought maybe it was a true “clean page”. Phew!

Marja-Leena, I am doing well. I’m sorry I’ve been out of the loop for so long. It’s taken me months to find a WordPress theme that I like and that I had enough skill to redesign, plus, since I’m combining all the other blogs and connecting the site to my new freelance work site (still haven’t started that yet. I’m quitting the university next spring, so am preparing for the big changeover). A lot of work to do, including scanning all my artwork, resizing photos, editing and writing my fiction, and getting some much-delayed articles finished…

Pete, the avatar becomes you! ;-^)

    Hi Miguel:

Glad to see you back and ESPECIALLY glad to hear of your plans for freelance. Yay for you!

Happy to see you back! Looking forward to reading your words again…

By the way, I often misread ‘kickingcones’ as ‘kickingcajones.’ Makes me smile every time.

And great to see you, too, Lisa! I’ve really missed talking with you. Strange to think it is easiest for us to be in contact through my blog, rather than Facebook, where I stay in touch with most of my friends. But special, too, to always know where we can find one another.

I so hope you are well.

    love, Miguel
